Before the Photoshoot / Preparation
Where do the photoshoots take place?
Photoshoots take place in outdoor locations using natural light. Generally tend to be early morning or in the evening before sunset to get the best light.
What if either my pet or I have mobility constraints?
Please let me know during the Consultation. I can tailor the photoshoot to accommodate any mobility restraints. For eg, if you have a puppy or elderly dog then we can discuss having the photoshoot in your garden or nearby suitable location.
Do I need to groom my pet?
Whilst I am able to remove a bit of eye bogey, it might be an idea to give your pet a quick brush/groom the day before to make sure he is looking his best!
What should I bring to the photoshoot?
Please bring all the usuals...poo bags, water, treats (lots of!) and/or a favourite toy to engage & reward your pet. If you have more than one pet I would recommend bringing a friend to help handle them.
On the Day
I need to keep my dog on lead / harness
Not a problem! In fact I would recommend keeping your dog on lead for safety reasons. I will remove the lead in the editing process, however, if your dog is wearing a harness or a thick collar such as a Martingale collar, that will remain in the photo.
Will I be involved in the photoshoot & can I be in the photos?
Yes & yes! I will be asking you to help engage your pet during the photoshoot. And whilst the main focus is on the pet, I encourage owners to be in a photo or two!
Travel
Does The Snoot travel?
Yes! The Snoot is based in Cheltenham, UK & covers the surrounding areas within 45 minutes or so of travel. (Please note there will be a mileage charge for any locations outside 20 miles of Cheltenham)
Rescheduling & Cancellations
What happens if we need to reschedule?
Life happens! I totally understand things crop up and you may have to postpone. Please try & give me as much notice as possible and we will reschedule for another day at no extra charge to you.
Similarly, if I am unable to make the appointment I will give you as much notice as possible.
Your pet's wellbeing is of most importance. If on the day he is not happy or is feeling stressed then we may need to discuss rescheduling, possibly at a different location. Again this will be at no extra charge to you.
What about bad weather?
If the weather is not looking good for the scheduled day eg heavy rain or extreme heat, then we will have to think of an alternative date. I will keep an eye on the weather in the run up to the photoshoot and be in touch the week before to either confirm or reschedule. Please do bear in mind that the weather is unpredictable & we may have to postpone at short notice! Again, if we do have to reschedule due to the weather this will be at no extra charge to you.
What about cancellations?
Should you no longer wish to go ahead with the photoshoot, then a £25 fee will apply.
Digital Images & Products
What can I use the digital images for?
Images supplied are for personal use only (unless otherwise agreed).
Will The Snoot use my images?
Yes please! The Snoot Pet Photography (& I as the owner of The Snoot) will retain Copyright of all images & may use any/all images resulting from a photoshoot for all things The Snoot! I will be asking you to please fill in the Image Release Form at the time of booking the session so please do let me know should you not wish the images to be used.
Can I order more products at a later date?
Absolutely! I will be holding onto the digital images for a year or so. Just drop me a line.
